RANDI L. KARMEL, PLLC

Success is not only the goal when it comes to Randi Karmel’s career in law, but it has come to be the warranted expectation. With appearances on the News, the Morning Show, and Nancy Grace, Karmel’s professional life is both respected and inspirational. Focusing on Matrimonial, Divorce, and Family Law litigation, she devotes herself to the protection of children, the wellbeing of the family unit, and structured mediation when necessary. Karmel’s private practice makes a point to develop strong relationships with their clients, ensuring that the services they provide cater to the specific case at hand. Not all situations warrant the same procedure, Karmel believes, but each deserves her team’s utmost attention, patience, and endurance. One of her many momentous accomplishments is her certification to work with clients in the Integrated Domestic Violence Court.

Along with her successful private practice, Karmel is a member of a long list of organizations. In the New York State Bar Association, she served on the Executive Committee, the Membership Committee, the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, and the Child Custody Committee. She also served on the Judiciary Screening Committee of the New York County Women’s Bar Association. Randi is currently on the executive board of the NYSBA Family Law Section. She is also on the Board of Directors for Savvy Ladies, a nonprofit which handles women’s education. In the New York County Lawyer’s Association, she gained a wealth of knowledge on the Matrimonial Committee.

Karmel began her career in 1991 as the Assistant District Attorney at Kings County the District Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence Bureau, the Investigations Bureau, the Felony Trial Bureau and the Major Narcotics Investigations Bureau. Soon after, she served as the special Counsel and Deputy Inspector General at the Department of Investigation in 1996. In 1997, she continued her career in a private practice pursuing defense litigation.

Based in New York City, Karmel is also certified to practice law in New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. Now operating her own private practice, she has received the New York Super Lawyers Award in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and the Clients Choice Award. Her team was honored with the Top Attorneys Award in 2014.

Karmel is determined to provide exceptional emotional and legal support to her clients, focusing on personalized procedures that benefit each individual.
